Once again, we were tasked with getting pictures that fill one of several categories. This week's subject (for me) is Still Life. f/11.0 1/20 ISO 500 One of the most important take aways I got from this photo shoot was how much of a difference lighting can make. I found that harsher lighting and shadows fit really well with the items I had assembled.

AssignmentWe were tasked with retouching a photo of a car. Removing light spots, darkening the wind shield, removing the background and so on. We also got an opportunity to alter the car further after our original changes. Retouch 2 We learned some new advanced techniques for photoshop as well as adding a few more tools to our arsenals. It was ridiculously hard but I must note that the selection tool is very finicky at times and difficult to make it select what you're aiming for.
We were assigned to take various photos that fit into one of many different themes. The long term goal of this assignment is to create a portfolio of our work and only choose the best photo from our selections. Best Photo f/3.9 1/30 ISO 320 Next BestWhat I learned from this part of the assignment is that making food visually interesting enough to hold attention in a photo can be rather difficult.
Essentially the same as the last image but we were instructed to select one of the effects in photo booth. I went for the comic book effect and recreated the previous adjustments. I can now say I have a much better understanding of how to use some of these functions on photo shop.
Our first photoshop assignment required us to take a picture of ourselves and create the above image. I assume this was to introduce us to Photoshop and how to use some of its basic functions.
After carefully looking over the options for the assignment I've decided to go with the black and white photo. I have a couple lego sets I might be able to set up into a war zone or something of that nature. Take a bunch of childhood toys and create a scene of some sorts and tell a story worth a thousand words.
